Astrology for Monday, November 16

The moon is just past new and has moved on to its neighboring sign, Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a fun and optimistic sign, generally. Sagittarius explores the world, whether it is physical travel or exploring new ideas.

Today, the Moon is fused with the transiting south node, not a place known for the luck and expansiveness that generally follows Sagittarius. The south node, by definition, is something we want to let go of and move onto other experiences. The north node of the moon is in Gemini, and the north node always holds the cure for the south nodes' lack of satisfaction. Next to the south node, Sagittarius loses its questing spirit . It can become pompous, hide bound, stuck in the past (If it was good enough for grandpa, it's good enough for me...). Gemini is extremely curious and loves finding new facts, but the South Node turns away from new facts in favor of the familiarity of the old.

So, if you have a planet near 16 - 20 degrees Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces or Virgo, be alert for signs that indicate you are living in the past, not the present. If you feel yourself pompously declaring that you have the truth - check yourself. Do you? Maybe you did, but check what you know against new logic, new facts, even science. Sagittarius is a philosopher, but our philosophy must change when new facts present themselves - or we stop growing.

It is particularly important to check if your logic still holds as this Moon/South Node makes an aspect to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune can pull the wool over our eyes if we aren't careful. I rarely say this, but it is a good time to keep your imagination in control lest it take you down some fantasy rabbit hole.

This combination will be opposite President Trump's natal Sun and conjunct his natal Moon. What effect will it have on him?
