Pluto Goes Back Into Capricorn For the Balance of the Year

Pluto, the great societal transformer, has been in the sign of Aquarius since March 23, 2023, and it showed this week. Surprising many, the conservative Supreme Court that seems bent on dismantling the Voting Rights Act, chose this week to stop Alabama from gerrymandering most of the black voters into one district. Last week also saw the indictment of former President Trump under the Espionage Act. The indictment was pretty damning, showing Trump's direct involvement in taking, improperly storing and showing off highly classified military secrets. Special Counsel Jack Smith.said the law applied equally to everyone, a very Aquarian (and American) idea.

Tomorrow Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn and will stay there all this year. During the Pluto in Capricorn time, we had the financial meltdown in 2008, the first Black President (and the backlash to that), the Trump Presidency, an epidemic of gun violence, a growing wealth inequality and the Pandemic. Obviously, those things have not been resolved. Pluto is transitioning from Capricorn to Aquarius, and this will take some time.

Pluto will re-enter Aquarius on January 22, 2024 and stay there until re-entering Capricorn on September 2 - November 21. Then, Pluto will re-enter Aquarius, and stay there until 2044. These retrogrades into Capricorn will intensely activate the United States natal Pluto in the financial sector.

In the short term, Trump's indictment will be heard by his appointee, Judge Aileen Cannon, a lucky draw for him. Pluto will also be in Capricorn as she hears the case. On another note, the Supreme Court is going to be making rulings in June or July that could radically change the fabric of our society. One thing is sure - we have seen the break down of some systems - health care, media, corporate leadership, government leadership, the re-emergence of illiberal democracy. Will we be poised to break through to a new reality as Pluto veers toward Aquarian territory over the next couple of years?

Folks with planets in high degrees of cardinal signs Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra or fixed signs Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio will see effects from Pluto's movements more personally.
