Astrology for Friday, June 4
The Moon in Aries (emotional combativeness) has just crossed over Chiron in Aries (woundedness). The Moon in Aries is squaring both Pluto in Capricorn (Goliath) and Mars in Cancer (David) as they oppose one another. I don't know about you, but today was a difficult day emotionally for me, one in which I felt I was struggling against a foe far bigger than myself.
Neptune in Pisces is in easy aspect to both Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer. Neptune might prefer to evacuate the premises, pul the covers over her head and avoid the fireworks altogether. Meanwhile the Sun, Leader of the Pack, in Gemini, is conjunct the north node, also in Gemini. Mercury is in Gemini, too, but it is retrograde, so we will be in review mode and see things slightly differently than we did before. Saturn in Aquarius (responsibilities, limits) is trining the Sun in Gemini, keeping the self on board with fulfilling responsibilities (and Gemini might resent this nose to the grindstone attitude). Meanwhile, Venus in Cancer is out of bounds, and may behave in ways she ordinarily would not. Oh, yes, I almost forgot Saturn in Aquarius is getting closer to its exact square with Uranus in Taurus.
There is a rich stew of symbolism here. You can see some of it playing out on the world stage and, for those who have planets touching these positions, it will play out very personally. Suffice it to say right now, this is a very significant moment. We have had an opportunity this year to begin new cycles, perceive reality differently than before. We will meet challenges (like Moon conjunct Chiron, and by Saturday, Moon will cross over Eris - I hope we won't hear of another shooting) and progress won't be linear, but we have begun. We are beginning to realize something must change - and by the third exact square of Saturn in Aquarius to Uranus in Taurus, we will have started to make the changes.
Can't write more - it's been a heck of a day, and I am done. But difficulty does not mean despair. There is creativity in chaos, in throwing everything up in the air and rearranging the spillikins when they land. The real significance of the pandemic is not that too many died - that was a horrible cost - but that it upended everything that we thought could not be upended. So, what shall we build atop the old? No one thought David could slay Goliath, but it happened. Kindness and mercy and the little guy can sometimes win out against an old, but tired giant past his prime.
