Astrology for Monday, May 3
Ever since Jupiter and Saturn moved in tandem into a new cycle in Aquarius, life has changed. Today, the Moon is nestled in between Saturn at 13 degrees Aquarius and Jupiter at 28 Aquarius. Aquarius is a sign of big, bold ideas, ones that are often outside the traditional norm. Aquarius is also a highly democratic sign. The Moon of the United States Sibley chart is in Aquarius. Though the execution was not perfect, the United States revolt, for the first time, stated that every day people had rights- not just the king. An important idea, and one that is ready to shake off the dust of its own imperfection and emerge in a 2.0 version.
Of course, any new cycle faces resistance. Saturn at 13 degrees Aquarius is exactly square the Sun at 13 degrees Taurus, and Uranus in Taurus is very close as well. As the Music Man said, "We've got trouble, right herein River City!" Taurus is normally a stable sign, but with Uranus there as well, things in traditional institutions are stirred up. That is good. Things are broken and need fixing. If they are not stirred up, the potential for change is decreased. Sometimes chaos is creative.
However, resistance often takes the form of denial - and that is not useful. Neptune, that planet of illusion/delusion, is in Pisces. It figures into the isolation of a pandemic, but also into the delusions, fantasies, rampant in conspiracy theories. Neptune in Pisces is supporting and enabling Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto in Capricorn has been revealing the shadow side of Capricorn power for a few years now.
It is Saturn that is on the other end of that stirring up, in Aquarius. Power has shifted and the hard work falls more to those thinking outside the box than occupying it. Aquarius respects the individuality of the collective, whether you are black, white, female, male or transgendered.
Pluto in Capricorn went retrograde on April 28. Secrets will be revealed about old subjects as Pluto passes over territory it occupied before. Mercury will go retrograde on May 30. And Jupiter will leave Aquarius altogether on May 14 and travel for a short time in the sign Pisces. A lunar eclipse will occur on May 26 very near the nodes of the moon, indicating that karma will have a role to play later this month. Should be a fascinating month. I'll keep you posted as we go on!
