Astrology of Friday, January 10
Today is the day of a lunar eclipse and the full moon too. In a rare dis[play, 50% of the planets have moved into the sign of Capricorn, as well as the south node of the moon (the past) and asteroid Ceres (earth mother and very much about climate change)There is a lot of focus on Capricorn things - traditional sources of power - often white and male - but also wise elders, folks who are willing to bear burdens and shoulder responsibilities. As I have written so often before, traditional authority is going to acquire a new face, but this transit symbolizes the genie has been let out of the bottle.
With the Sun cazimi Mercury, so close that Mercury can't even be seen in the Sun's brilliance, and under the light of the full moon, secrets are hard to keep. People have reasoning ability - they get it. So, secrets come to light. These secrets are seen for what they are. There is tension today between the male power of the past and the more feminine power that is coming, but everyone has the potential to have greater insight and get what they didn't "get" before.
The eclipse point is a sensitive one and will be for the next 6 months. Everything will not happen all at once, but as the moon cycles through the zodiac every month, it will hit that sensitive spot, and we can expect the "theme" of the eclipse - how you experience it - will emerge yet again. Those dates are Feb. 20, 2020; March 18, 2020; April 15, 2020 (tax day!); May 12, 2020; June 8, 2020 and July 6, 2020. I suspect that in a very broad sense, the issues of climate change, our country's long shadow of white supremacy, and our broken systems of power will all be themes of the eclipse.
This will apply most strongly to those with planets in Capricorn, but will also affect Aries, Cancer and Libra.
