Time to Finish Old Business and Starting Anew

On Saturday morning, October 10, we will have a new moon in the sign of Libra. The Sun and Moon align at 17 degrees of Libra, ready for new beginnings. The new moon will be at a mid degree of Libra, so if you have planets angles at the middle of Libra, this will be more personal for you.

Libra, a sign about love, relationships, beauty, resources and balance asks “Am I giving too little? Too much? Am I avoiding honest confrontation for the sake of a misguided peace? Am I using with an atomic bomb when less extremes would do?”

The ruler of Libra is Venus. Venus just went retrograde on October 3 in the sign of Scorpio (shared values, the taboo and the deeply desired). Retrogrades are a natural pause to reflect and incorporate new perspectives.

As soon as Venus began her retrograde, she encountered Mercury (communication) in a very tense aspect between Mars and Pluto. Mars in Leo adds drama. Pluto adds obsessive intensity. Mercury and Venus want to know the raw truth and exposure of secrets is likely! Particularly secrets involving abuse of power toward women and young people, money, sex, or all of the above. As for Scorpio's financial face, just buy gas or groceries. The global financial turmoil traces back to corruption, wars for resources, or tariffs.

Every eight years for the last 100 years, Venus has gone retrograde in Scorpio for 40 days. Chris Brennan has a wonderful video on YouTube on historical events during Venus in Scorpio retrograde. I recommend it! Eight years ago, in 2018, we also had midterm elections. There was a blue wave and an unprecedented number of women elected to Congress.

This is the last Venus in Scorpio we will experience in our lifetime. People or situations from the past can return on a retrograde. If your unfinished buses is resolved or you see this does not fit your life any more, that person or situation disappears when Venus goes direct in mid November.
