November 5 Beaver Moon is a SuperMoon, Too

A little after 8 am, November 5, The Sun in Scorpio will shine directly opposite the Moon in Taurus, creating a full moon. It has been called the Beaver Moon. I love that because my son loves all things Beaver related, and his birthday falls very close to this large, bright, Supermoon. Traditionally, this was when hunters would take beaver for their furs (sorry, PETA!) It has also been called the deer rutting moon, which is what deer do as deer season begins.

In Mundane Astrology, the Moon represents the Masses, Family, Women's Issues and healing. The Moon is lighting up the sky as the Masses are hurting from healthcare and SNAP issues in the US. The Moon is opposed by the Sun in Scorpio. The Sun is Executive Leadership and Scorpio, at its worst, can manipulate power corruptly and greedily. I cannot help but think of Trump's extravagant Great Gatsby party celebrating wealth excess as millions will go to bed hungry when SNAP benefits end and hopeless because insurance is becoming unaffordable. A Marie Antoinette moment for sure.

There is a lot of Sacred Geometry in the planetary patterns on November 5:

Grand Cross involving the Sun and Moon opposition described above and the opposition between Pluto in Aquarius (the end of democracy as we have known it) and Jupiter in Cancer (the longing of the masses for authority to keep families safe and fed).

Grand Trine between Mars in Sagittarius (which can be a searcher for Truth or a pompous believer in a particular sect) and Saturn/Neptune in Pisces (which can be inspired compassion or Gaslighting propaganda).

Two Grand Sextiles: 1) Mars in Sagittarius (Warrior for Truth) excited by Pluto in Aquarius (transformation - but with a wrecking ball at the beginning) and Neptune in Pisces (Gaslighting or Visionary?). 2) The three outer planets, representing the collective/society: Uranus in Gemini (a tech revolution) and Neptune/Saturn in Pisces (again!) and Pluto in Aquarius (wrecking ball again!)

Mystic Rectangle: A configuration indicating magic can happen, connecting Jupiter in Cancer (potential for emotional growth), Uranus in Gemini (tech revolution!), Pluto in Aquarius (we are not in Kansas, anymore) and Mars in Sagittarius (finding and keeping truth).

Finger of God - Venus in Libra (Beauty in human relationships) is at odds with Uranus in Gemini (a mechanistic revolution) and at odds at the same time with Saturn/Neptune In Pisces (releasing of an old vision). The Finger of God is a crisis point, and our "hinge" point lies in the importance of human connection.

Confused? You are right to be! There is not "one" expression of a planet - more like a spectrum of ways to use its energy - and we get to decide how to play it. The upshot here is a lot of potential for arising from the ashes of our world to create something beautiful and new, but not if we adhere too rigidly to the way things were or if we choose greed over feeding and healing our our people.

There are many aspects here which can be played many ways. Being human, we will get some right and some wrong. Will fascism take the place of democracy? A possibility, but not one I would wager on. We are living through dangerous, onerous times, and I am not dismissing the hurt that can arise to ourselves, our families or our planets, but I do think something new is coming. At great cost, and I am not sure when, although, of course, I do have opinions!

Some important facts to consider: We are very quickly approaching a time when the dominant ruling class, largely white and male, will be outnumbered by minorities. The backlash on this power struggle is real. Secondly, we are at an existential crisis with the state of our planet. Thirdly, there are no actions without reactions - we live in a closed system. Energy can go elsewhere, but it cannot go away. Those things together spell CHANGE as inevitable. Not that anyone is not aware of that, but the stars say it, too.

We all chose to be present at this period. All of us are therefore just barely ready to play our part in the transformation we are witnessing. Start with yourself first, the only thing you can control. Uphold the highest vibration you can - we, our families and our planet need that energy.
