Another Virgo New Moon And A Partial Solar Eclipse

On Sunday September 21, eclipse season wraps up with a solar eclipse and a second New Moon at 29 degrees Virgo. In astrology, 29 degrees is an anoretic degree, a culmination point. Hours after the eclipse, we will be in Libra season and Mars will enter 0 degrees Scorpio.
All eclipses carry the energy of the Lunar Nodes, connected to the purpose of our incarnation here and now. Some eclipses occur near the South Node, often triggering deja vu, as though the Universe is saying "set it up again - we get a co-over" Like rejecting a king in 1776 only to find a President trying to be a king in 2025. A North Node eclipse, like the Lunar eclipse of September 7, invites us to release what we no longer need and redirects us.
The following are some of the events between the Lunar Eclipse and the upcoming Partial Solar Eclipse:
9/7 - Brazil's Bolsonnaro was convicted for his January 6-like effort to stay in power indefinitely.
9/ 8 - Epstein birthday book released.
Sept.10 - Assassination of right wing activist Charlie Kirk. A firestorm followed, turing him into a right-wing martyr as Trump, without evidence, blamed his murder on the left and vowed he would declare Antifa a terrorist organization.
Sept. 9-10 - Polish airspace invaded by Russian drones. Some are shot down. A Nato Article 4 consultation invoked
9/13 - Right wing Londoners organize a 100,000 person protest on immigration, clashing with police
9/15 - UK sends RAF Typhoons to air defend Polish airspace joining NATO's Eastern Sentry
Healthcare, research and vaccinations have been in the news all month, as the CDC and NIH were dismantled and vaccine mandates reviewed or eliminated (Virgo is all about health care).
Sunday's eclipse will be a south node eclipse, in a Saros cycle that began in 1917. All eclipses in this series carry the root energy of the events in 1917. That was the year of the Bolshevik revolution, when the people deposed the ruling class. A solar eclipse is a sensitive point active well over a year.
As I write this, just before the eclipse, Jimmy Kimmel show has joined Stephen Colbert's by being cancelled. Free speech seems to be in jeoardy as many corporate interests are caving to Trump demands, more concerned about their balance sheets than democracy. The New Moon/Solar Eclipse is in a very tense, tight square with Venus (association) in Gemini (trade) in the United States Powell Chart (July 1, 1776 ).
The New Moon/Eclipse opposes Saturn/Neptune in Aries. Saturn'Neptune at 1 Aries is the ruler of the Foundation of the US Sibley Chart (January 4). Saturn rules boundaries - legal limits, geographical boundaries, personal red lines. Neptune can be inspiration, but it can also be confusing and gaslighting. Since this partial solar eclipse can be seen over Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Antarctica, look for governmental changes in those areas as well as violations of oceanic boundaries.
It is rumored that Texas' National Guard may be called in to Chicago. This is out of the facist playbook - to call in police forces from other areas so that local law enforcement cannot react to illegal demands because they might be "too lenient" to members of their community. Never in the US history hass the guard of one state been called in to police another state or city without that governor's permission. It is a tactic Russia and China use extensively. Trump has openly said he wants these forces to make sure the 2026 elections are under his control.
A Solar Eclipse and New Moon at 29 degrees Virgo is looking at all the events listed above and saying it is time to wrap it up and move on. I am not saying any of these problems will be over. There may be a wrapping up to move forward into a new and more detestable phase; however, I believe that some of this overreach will come up against the Virgo ability to discern the truth to help people see things for what they are - not actions to solve a problem, but actions to exploit benefit from the injuries to everyday people. Stand firm and allow Virgo insight to sharpen your understanding.
A friend of mine, Deb Walterman, in her Encourage-Mentor Newsletter, wrote a lovely, uplifting and fun newsletter about the Law of Unintended Consequences. I share her belief that out of this chaos, something new will be born, although at what cost and when, I do not know. She writes"
"I think we can all agree that Pres T is an agent of change. Whether or not we approve of the changes he’s making is another matter... whether we think he’s doing the right thing – or – if we see him as a loose cannon… as an agent of chaos?
One positive thing that can be said of chaos is that new ideas/concepts/directions spring forth from it. Even in this chaotic political climate we know that this too shall pass, eventually, and that lessons will have been learned. Chaos will have shifted what is possible and caused there to be a new game plan. There will be new voices heard – the old voices will have come to a natural (or unnatural) demise – and whatever pieces remain will get picked up and managed. Ugh! That didn't sound so positive."
And here are some of the unintended consequences she sees:
"* White, sis-gender, middle-class (or higher income) male folks will begin to understand how a person of color, an immigrant, a woman, a Muslim, a Jew, a LGBTQIA person, a disabled person, or anyone who has been held back in any way, all feel. Victimization and powerlessness are being televised for us all to clearly see.
* Tariffs on imported steel and aluminum will cause us to become much better recyclers.
* Tariff-related price increases will cause us all to become more frugal, to buy less, slowing our use of natural resources.
* Tariffs on Chinese goods will increase the costs of fireworks, resulting in fewer being purchased, meaning happier, less freaked-out pets, veterans, and sensitive folks come July 4th!
* Trump’s rich-folks-take-all policies will shift MAGA hearts and minds. The vast majority of Americans are pro-Medicaid: 83% as per NPR’s Morning Edition, 6-17-25. Maybe voters will cast votes in their own financial interest?!
* Other middle eastern countries, Arabic nations, tired of waiting for Trump to “make peace” in Gaza, will take over and make the Israelis back down, will CAUSE the Israeli government to accept peace terms. Perhaps the European leaders will take actions in spite of Trump and Putin, and (somehow) create peace in Ukraine.
* From the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Magazine, Fall 2025 issue, a quote from the article, “Thwarting Overreach” by Rebecca McCray:
“If there is a silver lining to the Trump administration, Wang [ACLU legal director Cecillia Wang] believes it may be the opportunity to reflect on a long history of presidential overreach under the guise of national security. ‘Our whole system of checks and balances is premised on the notion that presidents will act in good faith, and Trump explodes that presumption,’ says Wang.‘All of us are painfully aware of the faults in that system, which gives presidents entirely too much leeway to use the invocation of national emergency in order to trample individual freedom.’”
* The state of Florida is going full-on MABA (Make America Broken Again) by removing all its previous vaccine mandates, no longer protecting its citizens from preventable diseases. Is there an unintended (positive) consequence of any sort here? Yes, but at a horrific cost: the world will see a scientific experiment in action! As many needlessly sicken, suffer, and die, the statistical record will become increasingly clear, proving (once again) that vaccines reduce health challenges and save lives.

Stand firm. See things truly. Do not give in to intimidation. We cannot rely on Congress to save us or the Supreme Court. It is up to We the People. Have courage. Start where you are, use what you have. Do what you can. And take care of yourself.
