February Shifts Begin

The mood of the country is shifting. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, and Pluto  are planets of the collective.  One by one, the outer planets will change signs this year - except for Pluto, which has already entered Aquarius, and will stay until 2043.

Neptune (dreamy, visionary, illusory) has left Pisces, where it spent the last 14 years, Neptune will be in Aries until 2039.  The planet Saturn (boundaries, concrete reality, time) will enter Aries February 15, staying until 2028.  Neptune and Saturn will meet each other exactly at 0 Aries on February 20.  While Saturn/Neptune conjunction aren’t that rare - they occur roughly every 36 years - we haven’t had one at 0 Aries in over 14,000 years.  Aries is the point of beginning for the zodiac. A new cycle is beginning for all humanity.

Neptune (water element) merges, without boundaries.  It acts like an ocean wave, breaking on the shore, then diffusing.  Saturn (earth element) rules boundaries. Saturn and Neptune are very different, but they can work together successfully.  Neptune dreams; Saturn can make the dream real.  But every front has a back.  When Neptune goes wrong, it can be drawn to addiction, escapism or blind fanaticism. Saturn can be control oriented to the point of fascism. Aries, the warrior, is about finding courage. Not being fearless, but acting in spite of fear.

There will be a solar eclipse on February 17. An eclipse stirs the pot.  Sun signifies the leader, and the leader will be eclipsed.  Related events can happen immediately or up to a year later. There is also the possibility of a natural event occurring that shakes things up - Flooding?  Earthquake? Like a Boy Scout, be prepared for temporary disruptions, but don’t get caught up in fear.  

The eclipse will rise on the Ascendant of Washington, DC., so it will be quite visible.  Six planets inhabit the Ascendant’s house, so the effects will be wide ranging. The eclipse will also conjunct the United States Sibley Chart’s Moon at 28 Aquarius (large groups) in the third house of communication (media, transportation, trade, facts).

On February 20, Neptune and Saturn will meet at 0 Aries.  A new cycle will begin for all humanity.  Looking back in a few years, we may not recognize ourselves. 

Venus, good for relationships and finances, harmonizes with lucky Jupiter in Cancer on February 22.  It speaks to self care and respite or simply good fortune.  

On February 26, Mercury will station in Pisces, preparing to go retrograde. Planets are powerful when they station. Secrets are often revealed as Mercury goes back over ground it has already traveled. More next post on that!

Virtually no one is happy with the status quo right now, so these shifts may be scary, but also offer the potential of good change and good trouble.  One thing is for sure, we will all have the chance to be a hero in our own dream.  We chose to be here on earth to be part of these events.  Let’s make the most of them!
