Reality or Illusion - Cancer New Moon

On this New Moon, Jupiter is in Cancer, fused energetically with the Sun and Moon.  The Moon rules the sign Cancer, so having solar and lunar energies merge here underscores all things Cancer:  feelings, home, MotherLand, healing.  Jupiter makes everything it touches larger, so feelings are stronger, as is a desire for greater security when those feelings are stimulated.

Two Finger of God aspects are in the sky today.   One yod has Mars, God of War, at the trigger point, and the other has Pluto, the God of Hell, as a trigger point.  Sun, Moon, Jupiter in Cancer are having to make adjustments to deal with Pluto in Aquarius and Pluto is having to make adjustments with Mars in Virgo.  In mundane astrology,  Jupiter and the Sun are the King and  executive power.  The Moon pictures the people in general.  Pluto represents nuclear power, which has been so much the focus of conflict with Iran.

The second yod has Mars in Virgo as the trigger, in an adjustment aspect with Saturn/Neptune in Aries.  The other leg of the Yod also connects Mars in Virgo with Pluto in Aquarius.  Mars in Virgo is also making an out of sign square (tension) with Uranus in Taurus.  Enriched uranium is also the focus of the war with Iran.

Could Mars in Virgo inconjunct the harsh partnership of Neptune and Saturn in Aries signify that the Iranian strikes are performative?  Virgo is discerning and practical.  Neptune and Saturn in Aries can mean illusion/delusion in a sign ruled by the God of War, Mars.  Journalists have reported that the bunker busting bombs rained down on facilities where the bulk of the nuclear work and materials have been moved.  Was Trump’s friendship with Putin, an ally of Iran, assisting him in a reality show of military might?  If so, the US taxpayers paid a lot for that episode, and it was pretty traumatic for the general population of Iran.

The bomb strike was a distraction (Neptune/Saturn) from the poor turnout at Trump’s military parade and the success of No Kings Day, among other things.  His friend, Bibi Netanyahu, is distracting from world condemnation over Gaza.  There was no clear signal that there was an increased danger from Iran.  In fact, Netanyahu has claimed Iran was getting a bomb soon for over 10 years.  Trump had Iran at the negotiating table as he executed the strike, so the strikes were not aimed at getting Iran back at the table.  They were already there.  

Iran’s strike at the Qatar military base seemed similarly performative.  We got warning of the possible strike in time to make it ineffective.  No personnel were killed.

Trump did not obliterate Iran’s nuclear capability.  It was as well staged, in my opinion, as his “shooting” last summer before the election.

It is possible that people will fall in line for him, united against an “enemy.” Maybe that Cancerian need for security for the “MotherLand” will expand (Jupiter) into a larger war.  A lot happens when a planet changes sign, and Uranus is just about to exit Taurus and enter Gemini on July 7.  Uranus in Gemini will be in a tense, square aspect with Mars in Virgo, signifying power struggles.  

It is a historical fact that Uranus in varying degrees of Gemini coincided with war.  And a little over a month after Uranus enters Gemini, Jupiter will be conjunct the Sun (Executive Branch) of the US Sibley Chart.  Jupiter can be generous when it feels safe.  Or very self defensive if it feels its security is under threat.  Which will we choose?  We do not know.  

Whether or not we feel, or the Executive Branch, feels, war is the answer, one thing is clear to me.  When there was no war, Trump wanted to declare a national emergency so that he could invoke martial law and deport more immigrants without opposition.  So, if we do have or appear to have an outside threat, what kind of a free pass will that give him to cement autocratic power?

It is more important than ever to keep our vibration high and fear free, as fear is the gateway to manipulation.  Our collective will is important, and the more people exercise their Mars in Virgo discernment, the more able we are to react from a centered reality.  Do not be seduced by a siren song of security.  Security can slip into control.
