Astrology of Tuesday, December 24

The light is returning. We passed the longest night of the year at the Winter Solstice on December 21. And the sun has transitioned into the sign Capricorn, a sign connected with tradition. As the days gets progressively longer, we enter a solstice season that extends through January 10. On Christmas Day we will have a solar eclipse.

While people celebrate the season traditionally, there is also a high regard for truth and ethics. There may be an innovative sense of how to incorporate these things into traditions, so that they do not become a hollow tradition.

Acts of kindness, a sense of compassion for humanity - these are possibilities today. But we always have a choice in how we do the energies. We could also choose to act to make things more glamorous and alluring or be detached from others, in the cold light of our own truth. Being human, we often choose both in differing contexts.

New technologies, alternative methods or insights that are the result of looking at a matter deeply may have repercussions within a relationship that prefers to only look on the bright side.
