Astrology for Wednesday, June 2
Today, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Venus is entering a new sign, Cancer. What this means for you is that beauty, love, relationship, fairness - all these things will have a new flavor. Venus will be in three signs this month - Gemini, Cancer, and on June 26, Leo. Each has a different tempo and your reactions will be slightly different.
The tempo of Venus in Gemini over the holiday weekend was outer-oriented. There was an emphasis on curiosity about what others think; and if we are smart, we listened to what others had to tell us. Venus in Cancer reacts to the Gemini curiosity and appetite for variety by realizing their own need for the comfortable and familiar. Curiosity takes a backseat to cautious protection of our own sensitivity and intuition. Cancer is famously described by the crab, which carries its house on its back, withdrawing to safety when it feels threatened. We may be more comfortable with old friends and lovers and savor our history more than the adventurousness of experiencing new things.
During Venus in Cancer, anyone with planets in the water triplicity - Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces - may experience a personal effect. There may be a bump in personal intuition, and our hearts may speak more loudly to us now. If we have planets in Cardinal signs, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Aries, we may find this period a little more challenging as we summon ideas from the past and get to see how relevant the past is to us presently. Since the astrological theme for the year is New (Uranus in Taurus) vs. Old (Saturn in Aquarius), this theme is quite relevant.
Some days that will be particularly noteworthy:
June 15 - Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus ramp up the tension between the old and the new.
June 22 & 23 when Venus in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces (you may feel like you love EVERYONE) or think you feelings are the only guidepost you have (logic would object to that). Anyway, this could be a couple of days when you are more open than usual to believing the fantastical and delusional - or be genuinely inspired - it is your job to find the difference.
June 24 - 26 - Venus in Cancer opposes Moon and Pluto in Capricorn. Transformation time!
