Notes on Sunday, June 22, 2019

The moon, the symbol of intuition, home and caring, negotiates a path between the old guard and the new. It calls upon traditional power and a power that honors the caring power that has often been the province of women to find common ground. Traditional power and authorities are breaking down. Fathers, husbands, sons and friends are invited to abandon the need to be authorities and embrace nurturing, caring, listening, loving. The hand that rocks the cradle rocks the world. The rainy weather this aspect often brings is the weeping of the earth at unkindness. Something is dying, but something is beginning, too. Everyone feels the need to be a little freer to be themselves. This is not the end...it is part of the beginning.
