Astrology for Friday, November 19: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Taurus

On Friday, November 19, we will experience both a full moon and a partial lunar eclipse. The sky will be clear and the eclipse will be at maximum visibility where I am - St. Louis, Missouri - at 3:02 am.

The full moon is always a time to release results we are not happy with, but throw the eclipse in, and it becomes a full moon on steroids.. The Universe conspires to bring us what we need, not necessarily more of the status quo. And Taurus enjoys the status quo. Letting go will be in Taurus and Venus(ruler of Taurus) territory - beauty, relationships. sensuality, self confidence, financial systems and possessions.

The full moon/eclipse point will challenge Jupiter in Aquarius. Jupiter brings luck in expanding beyond one's comfort zone. The square indicates there may be some level of difficulty in letting go of the status quo to experience something very new and unexpected. You won't have to choose what to let go - the lunar eclipse brings the decision to your doorstep. And as much as Taurus relishes stability, a breath of fresh air is often just what we need.

At the same time this is happening, we also have a t-square in play, also in fixed signs. Mars in Scorpio, Saturn in Aquarius and Moon in Taurus are all challenging each other. Change is more likely because of this.

Here are some things that can help: Embrace the process, don't resist it. Speak up. Taurus rules the throat chakra. Singing is probably good, too. Experience mindfulness - see, hear, taste, touch, feel every morsel of food, every activity. Do something green. Budget wisely. Experience beauty.

All the fixed signs will be affected - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. If you have the Sun or a personal planet near 27 degrees of Taurus, you will experience the effects of this eclipse more personally. Check out Astro.com to get your planetary positions or call an astrologer (me, for instance).

This full moon/lunar eclipse will sensitize the 27 degree Taurus point. When we have transits down the line to that point, this sensitive spot will be activated.
