Astrology for Monday, March 22

Spring has sprung over the weekend! I am going to read today's chart of the moment as a mundane, or US centric world event chart. The Sun (signifying the Executive Branch) has moved into the enterprising, pioneering, leadership sign of Aries. The Sun in Aries (President and Cabinet) is flanked by Venus in Aries, highlighting relationships, on one side. On the other side Chiron and Ceres, two healers, are positioned. I believe this speaks to the consciousness of what price has been painfully paid in relationships during the COVID crisis, and the necessity to heal the wound. Indeed, healing is called for on many levels - for the divisions in government, the need for allies in government, and the need to heal the wounds that have been created over the last four years.

Venus in Aries (relationships) and the Sun (Executive Branch) are sextile Pluto in Capricorn (corruption in big business and corporations), heralding a need for reform. Pluto in Capricorn opposes Moon in Cancer. The Moon indicates the people en masse, so how has corruption and corruption angered or hurt the people? Saturn in Aquarius trine Mars in Gemini and the North Node in Gemini demand action and accountability, even though it is.going to shake up our traditions and our financial systems. The presence of the North Node in Gemini (a desire for information, facts, science, logic) says our future must include accountability and reform. Furthermore, Mercury, the planet of communication, is the ruler of Gemini - it is time people are heard. There needs to be a voice. This is reinforced by Pluto in Capricorn square Eris in Aries - the powers that were traditionally strong are hearing the voice of the previously voiceless.

If we have learned anything from the last four years (at least, I have), it is that democracy (Aquarius) is not a spectator sport. It demands that all of us have a decision to make about what we value. We cannot rely on the President or Congress or even the Supreme Court to roll merrily along, working in our best interest. No, we, the people, have rights and responsibilities. Saturn inAquarius says work for it, and you reap the reward. Don't work for it, and you can reap those benefits, too.
