Astrology for the Week 0f 6/26-July 1

The week begins with a square between the Sun (ego) in Cancer and Moon (soul) in Libra. Our ego and heart are not quite in sync. However, harmonious ties between the Moon in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn, as well as Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn, assures unexpected changes are much needed. A trine between the Sun in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces echoes this theme. Ego reaches its limits.

The sudden reversal of Wagner's band of mercenaries' insurrection and a march on Moscow has taken most of us by surprise. And now the leader of the Russian mercenaries, Wagner group, is going into file in Belarus. The Wagner group is now leaderless, some of them to be absorbed into the Russian army; others to be free of prosecution as traitors. Armed Wagner mercenaries are still near Moscow.

This is good news for Ukraine, as the Wagner group was an elite fighting force there. President Zelensky says there is so much chaos in Russia, it is hard to predict next moves. Will Putin be able to maintain his power in Russia? A peek at his chart shows transiting Mars in Leo (War-like King) is at the MC of his chart - the standing he has in the community. Transiting Mars in Leo is also on top of his natal Pluto, heralding a transformation of power. This is not a terribly rare event, but transiting Uranus is also conjunct his Jupiter in Taurus, which means some surprises are in store!

We are not getting the true details: Putin's natal Saturn/Mercury/Neptune in Libra in his 12th house likes to keep information hidden, and the transiting Moon in Libra is highlighting this.

On Wednesday, the transiting Moon leaves Libra for the stormier waters of Scorpio. The Moon will be conjunct the transiting South Node (time for a Fickle Finger of Fate reboot) and it will square or challenge Pluto, now retrograde (going over old ground) in the sign Capricorn.

Scorpio is a much more confrontative sign than Libra. So there may be some showdown type confrontation over Putin's influence in Russia. The situation is going to get weirder, downright murky, on the 29th as the transiting Moon in Scorpio comes under the influence of Neptune in Pisces. Predictability goes out the window as the transiting Moon in Scorpio is opposite Uranus in Taurus.

On a personal level, I think we are in for some unexpected, but necessary changes. And ditto for the world scene.
