Astrology Reflections

Fear mongering. We all know politicians have manipulated us with fear, but I was thinking more about the media. Fear can drive votes, but it also drives ratings.

A psychic told a group of us not to be alarmed (too much!) because we are "in the stir". We will hear about things that distress us, but the earth needs a new recipe for success, and things have to be stirred before the ingredients can combine. Keep your vibration high by not succumbing to fear. If that means turning off cable news, do it!

We live in a Cancerian country, ruled by the sensitive and security-conscious moon. We spend more than the next eight countries combined on the military, and we have incarcerated more people than any other industrialized nation. We have a gun culture. and Stand Your Ground laws that allows homeowners to defend their "castle" with impunity. Still, we feel less and less safe.

We are in a time of transition, moving from Pluto in Capricorn to Pluto in Aquarius. Transitions make people uneasy. The status quo is changing, and we don't know what the future holds. This transition will last until November, 2024, when Pluto goes solidly into Aquarius until 2044. Things will continue to be different, but the flavor of Pluto will be more consistent after that time.

Remember this, as much as the media wants us to be in fear, the majority of Americans - Democrats and Republicans - want abortion rights, voting rights, LGBTQ rights. The majority want the Supreme Court to stop overturning precedent, following a partisan agenda and violating ethic laws that would get a President impeached. Young people who care about their planet, who want those rights are coming of age to vote. In 2030, for the first time in our history, the majority of our citizens will not be white! You don't hear much about this in the media, but it is true.

You are much easier to manipulate when you are in fear. But rise above that. Don't get caught up "in the stir". Change isn't easy, but it is inevitable. Ask Pluto!
